Making Ready for the Frame

We have managed to pour the slab this week and erect scaffolding ready for the timber frame, which is due next Monday (21st).  The final part of the block and beams will be laid on Friday, and the slab poured next Monday.  Lets hope the weather improves so we can make some further progress !

Yorkshire Water Works on School Lane

Yorkshire Water conducted a letter drop yesterday (Mon 1 May), and have informed residents that they will be renewing an old sewer to School Lane later this week.  This work is not connected with Wates, although we will endeavour to facilitate the works to cause minimal inconvenience.

Works will commence on the 2nd May 2012 and will take approximately 2 to 3 days.

We are Family...!

We were privileged earlier today to receive a surprise visit from Tim Wates, and our Regional Managing Director Joanne Jamieson.

Tim and Joanne were pictured with the site team on Woodland Court, after a flying visit to our other sites on the Kirklees Excellent Homes for Life scheme.

Considerate Contractors visit Woodland Court

The site team received an inspection from the Considerate Contractors Scheme auditor earlier this week, and we are pleased to confirm that it was received well.  Some very positive comments were received from the auditor Philip Power, which is a credit to all the site team who have worked proactively with the local community over the past four months.

Our scores will be published in the next two weeks... watch this space !

And the winner is.....!

Liz Jefferson and Mick Ruane from Kirklees Council assisted the site team in the final marking of the poster competition earlier today, with the lucky winner being Holly Loftus from Class 8 at Westmoor Primary School.

The quality of some of the entries were fantastic, and we wish there could be more winners as all the children deserved a prize.

Holly and the other 5 runner ups will receive their book vouchers in the very near future, and the posters will be made into signs on our site hoarding within the next two weeks.
